Keyword in title
This is one of the most central places to have a keyword
because what is written in the <title> tag shows in search results as
page title. The title tag must be small (6 or 7 words at most) and the the
keyword must be close to the starting.
Density of Keywords
An alternate important factor you have to check. 3-7 %
for keywords is best, 1-2 for minor.
Keyword density of over 10% is doubtful and looks more like keyword stuffing,
than a clean written text.
Keywords in Anchor Text
Also very significant, particularly for the anchor text of
inbound links, as if you have the keyword in your anchor text in a link from
another site, this is regarded as receiving a vote from this site not only
about your site in common, but regarding the keyword in particular.
Keywords in headings H1 and H2
Another important thing where keywords matter a lot. But be
careful that your page has actual text about the particular keyword.
Keyword in start of document
Matter a lot; though not as much as anchor text, the title
or headings. but, do have in mind that the starting of a document does not
necessarily mean the first paragraph – for instance if you use tables, the 1st
paragraph of text might be in the 2nd half of the table.
Using Synonyms
Optimize your synonyms of the target keywords, in accumulation
to the main keywords. This is fine for sites in English, for which search
engines are intelligent enough to use synonyms as well, when ranking sites but
for many other languages synonyms are not taken into account, when scheming
rankings and relevancy.
